Ultra Primitive

Ultra Primitive (2022) strips away the illusionary barrier between supposed reality and the deeper existence within. Underneath the so-called Phaneron* there is a duality of forces at play—each balanced by one another. Here, exterior identity is irrelevant. This collection was created by combining painting and drawing with digital collage and artificial intelligence.

*The Phaneron is a term coined by Charles Sanders Peirce to describe “the collective total of all that is in any way or in any sense present to the mind, quite regardless of whether it corresponds to any real thing or not.”
